Technical Which engine oil / Recommendations

Hi all

Firstly I'm new to the forum, and i am planning to do an oil an filter change

Secondly could anyone tell me if the Castrol Edge 5w40 oil would be ok to put in my grande punto 1.4 8v, because I've read a lot of mixed reviews about only using Selenia K engine oil.

Or if anyone recommends other oil, any advice would be appreciated.

As long as it's 5w40, no matter what it is it should be fine. But everybody seems to blindly love their expensive brands don't they!

Fiat recommends Selenia as thats what the engines was tested on i guess.

Castrol Edge Turbo Diesel 5W40 Oil will be fine as its ACEA C3 synthetic oil.

Im gonna try this stuff for my next oil change..

Ok thanks for clearing that up.

So is there any brands of oil you would recommend instead of castrol ?

I'm using Castro my self

Before the spec change I used comma

Fiat recommend it because they are paid to.
