Hi all , got a 1.2 grande punto 2008 . On a normal drive I'm getting 46 mpg and on the motorway I'm getting 49 mpg . What do you think ?

Seems about right! I got 52.9mpg in a 1.4 T-Jet once upon a time

was it:
a) on a trailer / towed ?
b) being pushed by you ?

If I roll my 1.4 8v down the hill in gear I get 58! But normal town runs I average 38-42 mpg

I bought it at the age of 18, had to drive it 140miles home and to tell you the truth was rather frightened of it! Came from a 1.poo corsa so it gave me quite a fright at the time!

Nowadays my mpg rarely see's the 30's, let alone 40's + 50's, quite enjoying it in the 20-30mpg range

Having done a similar change (Suzuki TS185 to Honda GL1100KA) I know how you felt.

It's good to see you are enjoying yourself with the T-Jet

I used to do the whole MPG debacle but got bored after a while, I'd get 47 - 48mpg in my 1.4 on motorways and 44 - 45 in town. When I established that I'd only see significant savings if I drove like that for a year I gave up because it made for quite a boring drive, I average 44 on motorways now and 39 - 40 in town.

I only get about 33mpg around town in my GP 1.4 16v. And i dont drive fast at all at the moment.

Seems quite bad compared to all yours? Is my car trying to tell me something?
