Hi all, my gp is not starting. Had a accident from front, inertia switch was tripped, if I pour petrol down the throttlebody it runs, my fuelpump is working, engine management light is on, no response from acc pedal, I'm in south africa, I bought the car like that very cheap, the gp is in a very good condition, please help me

There is no codes displaying, I don't know a lot about gp, I would like to know more, all that I know is what I read on this forom, how do I get that code?

No damage, the car was in a small accident, airbags didn't even deploy, it means I must get someone with a code reader, the car only idles but after about 10 times trying to start, if I turn the key the car starts and dies, then would only idle after 10 trys, acc makes nearly no differens, idles at 1200rpm, if I touch the pedal very little it goes up to 1300 rpm and goes down to 1000 rpm and then no respons from pedal

Thanx for helping me out Andy, I have done it all, the tb is clean as n nun, I have taken it off and clean it, if I switch the ign on the flap vibrates only, it is not opening a lot, only about a millimeter, if the car decides to starts it is only idling, helping the flap open only makes a noise, not revving up, when I pour a little bit of petrol in and I open the flap it revs up to about 5000rpm and dies again, its a complicated car for me, I'm a diesel technition and been working on all my petrol cars for many years, but this one is beating me

Some one said once that u got to earn a fiat before owning one, I believe it now, my other car is a uno 1993 1100 and going strong and no breakdowns with it, but my gp will make me pull out my hair and I haven't driven it at all, its such a nice car

Have you tried taking the battery off and leaving it for an hour to reset the ecu?

then try a relearn if that doesn't work...

look at the accelerator peddle and throttle wiring?

Not seen anyone have this issue before

Is the Fuel reset supplying power to the fuel pump?

no air lock in the fuel lines?

(total stabs in the dark)

Erm...your car was in an accident, it could have damaged ANYTHING in the engine.

Has your Uno been in an accident? If not why are you comparing it?

Sounds like he bought the car cheap accident damaged rather than crashed it himself ;)

The inertia switch can be triggered by a violet jolt such as hitting a pothole

most of the time in a minor its only panel damage and bits just need bashing straight  Sounds like he is a mechanic of some sorts Lorry mechanic samuel?

If you have access to a laptop computer or android based smart phone can you get something like this Cheaply over in Africa?:

Yes, I'm a mechanic on lorrys, my uno has done over 400000 km and I'm making a comparison only because its also fiat, I love my uno and bought the gp to upgrade and the gp was in a front accident, only panel damage and its in a good condition, I'm typing this with a blackberry cellphone, I want to say thanx so far, I have done all the checks so far and found my bottom exhaust sensor to look suspect, bent upwards on the casing where the wires goes in, caramic is cracked, maybe I must try that first, wil the sensor cause all this, is there a way I can check it with a multimeter and what is the values on the 4 wires?
