Tried to fit Abarth headlights this afternoon but had a bit of a nightmare!

All the bolts and torx screws on the right side of the car have seized and in my ham fisted attempts to remove the headlight ive broken the two upper mounting points for the headlight.

I need to replace two plastic panels under the bonnet that the lights bolt onto but my local Fiat dealer dont have a clue and claim they dont know what parts im talking about.

Ive highlighted them in the below image stolen from the forum, the plastic part the coolant header tank and bonnet catch attach to and the part immediately in front of it.

Ive tried to look on ePer via the forum but i cant find these parts to find the part numbers.

If anyone could tell me the part numbers it would be greatly appreciated as at the moment i have one Abarth headlight and one sporting which is only held in place by the bottom bolt so i dont want to drive the car until its fixed.

Yep, £175 for the front panel and £28 for the top piece at the front from Fiat.

Pattern part for the front panel is about £70.

I cant believe how easy they broke as well, crap quality plastic.

How much work is involved in replacing them, was thinking of doing it myself?

Nothing to do with it being crap quality plastic, I've never managed to do it, it's the first thing to go in a front ended so is designed to crumple, strong enough for what is needed but will go if abused.

I didnt think of the crumple zone aspect, it did snap very easily though!

How big a job is it to change the front panel?

I could see a few things, horn, bonnet catch etc mounted to it but is there anything major like the radiator or intercooler attached to it?

I couldnt see completely as i didnt fully remove the front bumper

Radiator, aircon condenser (if fitted) sit on it. Not a majorly difficult job, but not a 5 min job. If you want to do it without draining radiator etc you'll need 2 of you, one to support it all (radiator etc) when you remove one front panel and fit the other - this is assuming its all mounted on the inside and not the outside / within the front panel.
