Would anyone know how to reduce the amount the handbrake has to be pulled up to engage well. Its MOT tomorrow and I need to tighten it up before 3.00pm for the test. Any help would be appreciated

If you remove the trim with the cup holder over handbrake lever....
I'm sure you can tighten the cable there, 2 10mm nuts iirc....

Thanks for the reply but I Tried to do this today but could'nt find any fixing to undo the cup holder thingy.

There isn't any screws, it just pulls off, with a lot of force.

Give it a good yank its secured down by metal clips... start at the back near the cup holder and work forward down each side finally pull back slightly to unclip the coin holder in the handbrake handle well....


as you can see dont grip the base grip the bit that comes out of the base

no that top picture shows what comes out the rest stays in place put the handbrake down and where your knuckles are that bit of pimpley plastic is the end of the handbrake section
