Anyone with a VL36 turbo?

has anyone had any problems running this turbo on a T Jet? Really want to buy one but put off in case It messes my car up and creates a bigger spend for me..

The only problem I could think is over heating the engine but ive got a forge intercooler so don't see why that would be a problem.

Any feed back is appreciated cheers.

Also does it need a new manifold with it?

They are a straight swap for the standard turbo. It wont cause any problems but would need a remap to get the most out of

If you switch to the bigger one, some Bravo's (120Tjets to a 150Tjet Turbo) have had issues with the areas of loss of power, I think there is more to run the turbo at full capacity required. Seems to be a pattern if you map it too hard it wont be effective.

I have a vl36 turbo on my t-jet with FMIC, Panel filter and a TMC Tuning Box. No issues whatsoever, definitely no overheating problems. When changing it just keep the same manifold and swap them over, very easy swap.

I run the vl38 turbo off the abarth 500 which is the same size as the vl36 with Powerflow cat-back, Bmc panel filter and Forge turbo actuator also mapped at tune4performance for 13k miles with no problems. Got forge intercooler as well but yet to fit it

How do you find the vl38 jack, in terms of power increase and how quick it comes on the boost? Im waiting for mine to arrive in the post
