I think I may know the answer already, but I have a noise through my front suspension/steering.

When I turn my wheel at low speeds (dry steering/parking) I get a succession of boing noises 'boing boing boing' one way and then 'boing boing boing' back. I've had a read, and it sounds like a top mount bearing.

Does this sound like I'd be alright taking it to my local independent, or should I give it to Fiat?

I should also mention that the noise came on after I went home for Christmas and left it parked for a week.
