i can't turn off my ASR! i have a t-jet so i have a button on my dash sayin 'ASR OFF' when i push it nothing happens! the orange light doesnt come on and it doesnt come up on my dash sayin i've disabled it! ... it used to work but it just won't turn off anymore! any help would be great!

You want to turn it off in this weather!? Asking for trouble! lol no idea as to a fix though, could it be as simple as a fuse?

Your joking right. It's ASR that's all. Needs to be turned of to enable you to get slight spinage to enable you to move away on ice or in sever snow!

OP does it needs to be pressed and held for a few secs

Does the light on the dash flash when you wheel spin still

I don't mean in that sense, fair enough in sever snow and ice I just mean a slippy road surface, if I turn my asr off I can wave bye bye to my front tyres in no time, wheelspin in every gear You still get a fair amount of wheelspin with it turned on but nowhere near as much with it off.

Most find progressive driving or decent tyres prevents wheel spinage in normal conditions

Tyres on the SS are not the cheapest of things! Don't want to have to replace them earlier than I have to haha

MISC, you dont understand how jealous i am of you're SS.. take me for a spin in it!

i've tried holding the button down and still doesn't turn off, when it does wheel spin i get the traction control light flashing. when i do wheel spin now it makes a loud clunking i think because the ASR is trying to stop the spin?
gets so annoying! i want to have fun in the snow and i can't! :bang:

Sounds like an annoying problem! Never found anywhere round here to mess about in the snow Only thing I can think if a fuse otherwise sounds like somethings messed up in the system Don't think ive even bumped into you in the SS yet! Soon im sure

Yeah i might try messing around with the fuses, need it off! theres plenty of places in haverhill, the entire industrial estate and up near titons lol. i saw you're SS in cuples ( i think its called, near tesco's ) i parked up and had a quick look lol, then noticed there was cameras, looking like i was doing recon lol. when you had your t-jet and i drove past at sturmer bridge, i came back and you wasnt inside it! lol i waited for a good 10mins lol. i was going to give you my de-badged grille haha
