As some of you may have read about the problem i had when my GP decided to die on me (possible head gasket), 1.4 Active Sport 38,000 Miles

Garage just rang me (as its under warranty) and they have informed me that they cannot fix it and they are sending it off to a Fiat Dealership on Monday.

What will happen next ? What will Fiat do ?

Sick, just want it all sorted now

did they say what needed doing?

There is nothing on the GP that would require a specialist to fix. Try another garage.

If it is the garage he bought the car from, and the work will be covered by warranty, then it getting sent to fiat is a result.

Well I didn't consider that option!

even these basic models have a bit more going on with them unlike older ones.... the ability to do a phonic relearn having replaced the cambelt been one job for a fiat computer

Yeah infortunatly it's where I.got the car from and its under warranty :/

Very true ! Ha....just want my GP back now hope everything will be okay when I get it back ....hopefully no more problems

If the 'garage' you bought it from is a typical used car dealer with a workshop, they will be geared up to do only routine servicing and simple repairs. By sending the car to fiat they are demonstrating an awareness of their limitations and the car gets fixed to the highest possible standard.
