Hi there.
Are there a couple of kind bright heads who could help me with at tiny but annoying problem?
The light in my luggage room/compartment or whatever its called, doesn't work.
I have tried to change the bulb whith no luck.
There is no 12V in the plug for the bulb, and no fuse is blown.

What is the next logical step?

Might be an issue with the switch in the tailgate catch.

Common problem on this car, as stated new tailgate catch mechanism probably required. They dont cost that much as far as i can remember. Had the same thing when i bought my T-jet way back when.

If you sit in the car will the ignition on and all the doors shut and press the boot release on the dash, if the little trip display on your dash doesn't say anything about the hatch being open then it's probably the boot latch, if it does notify you of the hatch being open then it might be something else.

I need to double check all of this, my light does not come on either....

Yup;-) Its the tailgate catch. A tiny tiny switch inside is broken. Doesnt cost a lot. Thanks for replying guys

Is there a guide for replacing/fixing this?

I have the same problem but assumed it was the bulb and just never got round to replacing it. I took didge3s advice and it looks like I have the same issue
