Hi all,

I have some quick questions:

1)

Is the cable in the attached photo torn or it is normal for this cable to be like that ??

2)

What is the plastic thing seen in the video below? is it ok to be loose?

3)

I mixed two different coolants colours but both are reddish. Is it ok? attached is a photo of the two coolants.

4)

I am going to change the manual gear oil. Is there a filter that i have to change as well??

Thanks in advance.

That first picture is a broken pad wear indicator cable (puts a light on your dash when your brake pads are getting very low)

Ideally it wants repairing my repair would be a solder joint heat shrunk to seal / support the joint...

The plastic thing is supposed to be loose its a breather for the gear box to let air in and out but keep dirt out...

I would do a full system flush and change for the coolant and replace it with the correct grade and strength of red...... I use this:

There is no gear oil filter from memory BUT ensure you use the correct grade of gear oil (fiats use a strange viscosity fluid thats not commonly available after market)

(the drain is on the back of the box near the drive shafts)

Get that front left hand tyre checked it appears to be cracking on the inside side wall

I didn't quite understand this. Should i solder the cable ?? or just put a heat shrink on it and thats all??

Yes i will change all 4 tires soon.

Both

slide the heatshrink over the cable first

strip both ends of the broken section tin them then solder together allow to cool for a short time before you slide the heat shrink up over the joint and warm with a hot air gun or a cigarette lighter to shrink the tube to fit

thanks, but the problem is that i con anly see one end on the cable (the one shown in the pic).

Sorry, but i still cannot understand which part you are referring to  can you please mark it on the photo that i have attached.
