Hey guys.

I've already posted this in the appropriate Blue & Me forum and wanted to put it on here too to see if any of you have had similar issues or have any ideas as to a fix.

Post on either (preferably this thread as I check the GP section daily) if you can help out.

Thanks in advance.

Pictures would help I guess.
The PCB must be like normal electronics like in a computer as it's running Windows CE.
It must be possible to solder a new USB cradle on there but you will need to be a good solder as it's tiny.

Hey,

Providing the tracks/traced on the PCB haven't been damaged (i.e. its just the legs of the USB socket that have snapped off) I'd expect it to be pretty easy to do.

You'll need something like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190711895196

I imagine it'll be a bit fiddly and you'll need a fairly small nibbed soldering iron (and patience!) but its certainly worth a shot and a hell of a lot cheaper than a new B&M box!

If you aren't that comfortable soldering/have the equipment already then I'd head down to your local market/mobile phone repair shop/games console modder/chipper (do they even exist any more?) as they should have all the stuff and I'd expect they wouldn't charge much at all.

Hi mine did exactly the same and Fiat wouldnt entertain replacing it,even under warranty. Did what Gavin has already suggested and it worked a treat. Local PC repair shop did it and wouldnt take a penny .....result.:)
