Hey guys, it's been some time since I've been on the forum, hope all is well!
Not too long ago I was driving down the road in my 56 Grande Punto 1.2 when all off a sudden the car started kangarooing till I had to come to a complete stop. At the time, the Fuel Injection System warning light was flashing on the dash.
I was able to drive to my girlfriends place slowly and leave it there for the night, but ever since there has always been a louder "clicking" noise coming from the engine as it turns over and comes more obvious when accelerating but is still noticeable when idling. It sounds more similar to a diesel engine rather than petrol. At the same time it seems less powerful to drive, and I have to accelerate more in a lower gear to feel like its pulling as it should.
I'm aware of the breather hose problem which is split but currently sealed with a DIY job until I order a spare part, but that doesnt explain the clicking turnover noise?
Anyway, hopefully you guys can help.. can make a sound recording if that helps at all?
Thanks,
Jamie
