It's got nothing to do with how you drive them - if they are going to go, they will go! The problem is they are more likely to break than most gearboxes Fiat owners are familiure with!
I'm sure that's not true.

Can we have pictures?
Still no spec or pics of the engine bay? This could be like the 190bhp t-jet that someone tried to pass off as having 220bhp
Pics or it didnt happen
Sure you're sure?
Compared to similar weight & power Bravo, the Croma has a much higher number of gearbox failures, and the Bravo is more likely to be driven hard. Ours was not abused, but had the exact same bearing fail as almost every M32 gearbox that fails on the Astra/Corsa.
Is it? It's more likely driven by divs or grannies that don't know how or when to change gears.
Yours might be an exception, maybe improperly built at the factory. Just because you, or a few other members on here, have experienced a gear box failure doesn't mean they're all like that. It's common sense to say most gearboxes fail because of the way they are used (for premature failure).
However, putting an additional 120bhp (almost double the power) through a standard gearbox is questionable...do you have any proof it is 250bhp?
Never mind the gearbox! bottom will drop out lol, do you have a dyno printout, what injectors are you using and wheres gasket from
So the BHP is a guess becuase you beat another car in a race?
All these videos mean nithing
does the methonal actually do anything apart from keep temps down, ive spoke to a lot of dyno ppl tht said theres no niticable difference on or off
If it does make 260bhp im going to imagine the torque is going to be 400 plus? at least. A foucs RS makes 300bhp with 440nm of torque. So in theory your 0-60 time should be low 6 seconds? You should be obliterating an Abarth not just beating it. Also as already stated will the standard internals cope with this mountain of power?
