Technical new speaker cable install

nice one just one thing for the passenger side i did it a tad different cuz the power cable basically i did it under the door seal but then went back round the front of the car and went down the side of the gear sick so no interference hope that helps too

no worries mate good luck with yours let me know how it goes would recommend the vibe cable so easy to use :D(y)

sorry man hope u get this it time if u do try it today :D bright and early lol
from what i know i used a flat head screwdriver small one a cross head one
Allen key for taking door off wire cutters crimps or soldiering iron then u just need your hands and yea rca cable and speaker cable i used vibe cable cuz got there weiring kit cheaper than buying everything separately was like £20 for rca 5 m power 5m ground 0.5m fuse and a few cable ties and sutff and like 10 m of speaker cable so worth it i think :D good luck keep us updated if u give it a go

cheers mate!

i dont think im gonna give it a go though, i honestly dont know what Im doing due to a few things:

1. do i need to alter anything with the Head unit...if so i need to order some more removal keys (removing without them is a right b!tch)

2. i've no idea how to connect the wires to the door speakers

3. i thought i could go where my existing amp wiring is, but if one is going down one side of the car, how do you get it back over to the other speaker?

4. i dont know where the power and grounds go, or the fuse :(

I think I should leave this to someone who has a better idea lol

i have an afermarket head unit and amp and sub already installed :)

thanks for the pics will look now!

right this is my current setup:

equipment:

hertz esk 165 door speakers
pioneer mvh8200bt head unit
dls ca31 amp
dls rw10i subwoofer

wiring:

fuse in engine bay
wiring from battery to the boot for amp/sub
wiring to Head unit.
earth on seat belt point

I dont even know what im getting confused about, but im no clearer lol :(

So really:

- rca to headunit (is phono cable an rca cable?)
- speaker cable to speakers
- power cable (already in place)

yes phono is rca calbe
speaker cable to speakers
are u useing the same amp to power the speakers as the sub?

so all u need to do is get the phono cable from your headunit unless u ran them all alredy and the door speaker cable nice and easy :D

its a graphic eq cuz the eq is **** on my head unit and it gave me 6 rca outputs and just thinking if it a standard head unit and its not the 2 pin removal keys u can use two knnifes what i used to use on my 106 what head unit u got btw dose it have front rear and sub rca out puts
