Developed a clunking noise from the front near side wheel, when going over rough roads, potholes and speed-bumps. noise is most noticeable when not accelerating.

Had the front wheel off and cant find anything that's obviously loose, and there's a bit of play in the drive-shaft at either side.

Any ideas?

suspension bushes?

my front suspension arm rear bushes need replacing, its a bit clunky when steering but when going over severe bumps they properly bang

seemed to identified where the noise is comming from, its at the nearside front strut top mounting area. The nut is secure however when wobbling the wheel you can feel play in it.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

When I had this on my old Corsa it turned out to be a tracking rod apparently. I'm no boffin by any sorts just going by what I was told.
