right before I either buy some new ones or take em to get sprayed. is there anything I can do to get my bumpers back to the same red as my car? iv tried tcut, cheap asda colour restorer but to no avail :/
also once they do get back to the fantastic red. how do I keep them that colour?

oh and to save me making another thread. what colour should I paint my wheels? there standard fiat alloys (cause I can't afford anything else just yet) and I was thinking maybe re spraying them the same silver colour, or white or black or some other funky colour. I really just need peoples advice.

I'm no expert but I don't think colour restores work on modern flat colours. Moden paint is waterbased and covered in a protective clear lacquer, all your doing with t-cut is cutting back the lacquer. If you do have it re-sprayed all you can do is make sure they put a good uv resistant lacquer on and keep it out of the sun as much as possible.

How old is your car? Does it live in the sun? Mine is an 07 registration in exotica red and is fine though it is kept in a garage.

If it is restricted to the rear bumper and you have not owned it from new it could be that it has had a knock in the past and has been re-sprayed.

The plastic bumpers will react differently to the metal panels, so that is how you notice the difference at panel joints, also the pigment in the paint reacts with different materials so you will have very slight colour variation.

Not much that can be done unfortunately as its clearcoated.

A good wax/ or sealent with UV protection will reduce the fade. My car is on an 06 and hasn’t faded much.

Paint wheels dark gray or black

Keep the wheels silver.. Or a brighter silver (not too much flake) better yet you could spray them silver and get the face diamond cut. Another option get them nickel coated..
