Engine wont turn off on 1.9 Sporting Multijet.

Ive been stalling it to turn off.

Its after driving through huge puddle - so clearly something is wet.
Engine management light is on. Its happened a few times and has dried out previously and been ok though how ridiculous that this can happen!

Anyone know how to prevent this? Would it be a wet ECU or something? Possibly fusebox?

Is it common issue?

I had that after a bit too much jet-washing under the passenger side wheel-arch... I could turn the key to the "off" position & remove the key...
Fuse-box is on that side... check it out & dry it off, I did that with my car successfully, hopefully you can catch it before the copper tracks are damaged by corrosion.
While you are there, make sure the fusebox lid is fully & properly fitted.

its ya fuse box mate take ya fuse box out and clean the connectors underneath and put ya fuse box on the radiator for 2 hours

same happened to me and that cured my mjet
