Looks good buddie... honestly if i stood at the top of a building in the DURBAN CBD, it looks so very similar to the streets there.
any shots of your Neighborhood?

Picture 1 is the first day that I picked my vehicle up and brought it home. The last 3 was from last night, I carbon fibred the door pillars:)

those carbon pillars look good mate!

with regards to looking like DURBAN, yeah I can imagine from the pictures you posted. It's weird because typically, when people mention africa, those that don't have good geographical knowledge assume a desert like place with few real buildings (I'm saying this from hearing others lol, this isn't my own view!)

that's why I like seeing other places, so you can see behind what you see in stories etc etc.

anyway, yeah Ill get some of where I live.

I live in a place called Rotherham, also known as one of britians fattest towns :p (The pictures are of sheffield because thats where I work lol)

Thanx buddie, took me some time as i had to cut templates out first and then use them on the carbon fibre, didnt want to cut while its stuck to the door, wanted a nice neat fit:)
LOL im sure the guys out there would think of wild animals roaming the wilderness when they hear of SA ...lol

i will put up some snaps of our centres, malls, land marks and stuff as i go along. so first hand you get to see what SA has to offer, but its just DURBAN. theres still Johannesburg and Capetown and so on.
they also have alot to offer, oh and we do have wild animals here, they are in our nature reserves and those are huge, can take you days to explore the place.

i also like seeing different places but preffer seeing pics of real people and thier day to day where abouts instead of these google pics:D because it gives you a better view of the country and areas(y)

i will post some pics of the area that i work in, its more an industrial area

exactly mate bang on!

when you see pics people have took it gives a much better view as most often, you wont have done any preparations for the shot i.e. moving that dead cow, or cleaning the street of litter etc.

iv been meaning to vinyl wrap my pillars for a while but just never get round to it :(

:) yes thats what makes those instinctive pictures the best, a better insight from them... you know whats also nice is actually having to see pictures like that of people in the community whethere in the city or suburb going on about their daily lives, it gives you an understanding of the way of life in the country:)
i promise to find atleast one dead cow lying around for my next photo post...lol :D

go for it sammclean23, it wouldnt take you long to do them pillars, make sure to get the vinyl as close as possible or underneath the rubbers around the windows, be gentle as lifting them up too much kinda stretches the rubber alil, i learned that from doing the drivers side, so i then decided to use a plastic applicator, the kind you get in a box of tint and used that to wedge and pick the rubber up alil and slide through.

infact i used a little sunlight liquid, very lil in water just to make the carbon fibre easily movable so i could get it where i wanted and then ran the applicator of it to get the excess water out and it was a breeze, its the same principal of tinting windows, makes it easier for the carbon fibre to slip underneath the rubbers (y)

when i get home i will take some snaps of the carbon fibre that i had done on the front of my car.

brill will try it!!

yeah pictures on the spot are the best!

where I live its quite diverse i.e. where I live used to be countryside years and years ago, but now its built upon. So, you can drive towards it, go past steel factories then drive through a country lane past fields etc. And then a few minutes later, end up in a village full of underage parents.

Saying that, I think where I live is one of the nicer areas of Rotherham.

i'll get some pictures tonight, without revealing exactly where I live...never know who stalks these forums

Buddie just to mention, i used an hair dryer aswell, i didnt have a heat gun or so, i used it to heat the carbon fibre so as it made it easier for the carbon fibre to bend around the door and seal on the inside. i alocated just a centimeter or 2 longer at the outer edge so it could wrap around the door and seal on the inside for a neater look, you just need the hairdry over the area for a few seconds or so, work with a small area at a time when heating as it cools down quick aswell.

We use to have alot of greenery around us, but with the need for housing and stuff there are more and more houses built in any available space, i like the country side, its more scenic :) dont get me wrong as where im from is quiet and is the nicer part of Phoenix(y)

so you guys actually have a special village just for underaged parents:)

now i have to go back and get rid of my niegborhood pics cos of the stalkers:D
unless these stalkers want a peace of my pit bullz (y)

cheers mate! was thinking of using a hair dryer so thanks for confirming.

well, its not so much a village for underage parents, but it's just how the housing allocation works.

across the road from my house is an ordinary little 'square' of houses, but is actually for young parents. One of the 'houses' is actually an office for dealing with and 'helping' these parents.

The problem is, the majority of people you see around there tend not to give a s*** about anyone or anything and hence results in trouble sometimes.

and there is your first insight to rotherham....you would have to visit to understand fully.

(y)no prob buddie, take care using it, tends to get really hot but then again you just need to use it for a quick few seconds or so at a time:)

I guess i will really have to visit the place to get an understanding, im gonna book my flights right now L:DL

the place sounds great, i will await some snaps(y)
so is there any malls or shopping complex's nearby ?

its not bad, to be honest, the pictures i send are the nice side of rotherham lol.

yeah one big one, meadowhall. used to be a huge steel works I believe.

yeah ill be careful, prob wont end up doing for a few weeks yet anyway ;)

DEENAP: quote from facebook just now from someone: "I'd honestly rather eat my own sick that stay in rotherham for the rest of my life, its sooo ugly"

L:DL the nicer part.

the pillars shudnt take up much time, but its best to take your time and do it and not rush, you want a neat finish(y)

Lol, im sure rotherham isnt as bad as the quote is made out to be...lol
infact every place must have the best and the worst to offer:)

ive purchased the following LED park light bulbs for my punto, but the warning indicator keeps lighting up, however the LED bulbs light up, is there specific bulb that needs to be used that does not make the warning indicator light up? i like the white light these bulbs emit.

haha on my travels ill get some pictures for you mate :)

them bulbs throw up an error because the resistance is less and therefore the car's computer thinks the bulbs have stopped working (I think i'm right but dont quote me on it)

I have LEDs in mine, with the same warning light.

not much you can do unless you add a resistor to the circuitry I think?

Hey bro, so u have the leds on your car and those warning lights is still displayed right, so does that cause any harm to the car having those led bulbs

Pictures of what's been done to the front on my car(y)
