Had the car remapped a while ago, everything's been working fine since about a week ago.

While driving on the highway I noticed that the car suddenly boosts only to 7 PSI. Usually it boosted up to 14 PSI. It still drives normally - no whistling or whining sounds, shakes or rattles (so I'm guessing it's not broken turbo hoses?). It's just low on power.

I'm suprised that the check engine light didn't come on.

Any thoughts on where to start looking for the problem? My first guess would be the MAP sensor.

Check the standard recirv valve. They are known for collapsing after a remap.

Tried changing the MAP sensor... and it didn't help.

I've ordered a new re-circ valve. Should be here tomorrow.

Did you get a check-engine light on when your re-circ failed?

no there was no warning light at all - the easiest way to check if its failed is to remove the hose from the top of the recirc valve (the one connected to the engine cover) turn the radio off and with the window down go for a drive. You will hear it hissing almost like a mini dump valve is constantly going off like a tshhhhhhhhh when you accellerate, dont get this confused with the turbo spoiling and the broken recirc valve will be much louder

Thanks for that info. I can hear something besides the regular turbo noise, hope it's the DV, so the problem will be fixed tomorrow :)

Changed the DV today.... and the result is most accurately described as

WHOOOOOOSH OMG OMG OMG

I have all my ponies back. Thanks for the tip, guys.
