We've done 2.0 16VT swap in a Grande Punto. The car originally was 1.4 16v 95, the was turbo converted on standalone ECU. Last 2 years, the car is a daily driver 2.0 16VT with aprox 250HP, 1.8 marea gearbox, running stock ECU, stock T3, internals, stock IC, race ported head with atmo camshafts, racing flywheel. More to come!

Impressive, but it must just be easier to go out and buy a faster car in the first place!?

Looking forward to more pics and info! Hats off to people attempting engine conversions such as this one, yeah it would have been easier to go out and buy a faster car but whats unique about that. Good job!!

The goal was to make that car pretty fast. After instaling K03 (later K16) turbo, Megasqurt ECU, coolers, lowing compression (8.7:1), etc, the car was aruond 170-180hp on 1.1 bar. That was the limit on that engine with stock internals, so everything after that had to involve engine rebuild. Instead of going with forged internals and complete race preparation of the 1.4 engine, we decided to bay, rebuild 2.0 16vt engine, with its stock internals.

Next goal: Race prepared STOCK INTERNALS engine, standalone ECU, 8000 RPM,many more... 400+HP
