Tuning 1.2 8v remap? worth doing?

hi, has anyone had their 1.2 active gp mapped? or know of anyone that has done? i wanna get mine remapped but dont know if it makes a big diffrence or not?

is an 8v version? if you look on remap company websites that will show you a rough idea on the gains, a punto 1.2 hardly has any (under 10bhp last time i checked)

yeah the 8v mate, its not to bad for a 1.2 quite nippy, but not nippy enuff really, ive done a few lil mods to it like big airfilter and exhaust but its not fast enuff, it can get to 70/80 quik enuff but ****s out after a ton but have had aroun 110 -115 out of it

yeah I know there nippy, I've just sold my Mk2 punto that was an 1.2 8v, unfortionatly there not worth spending the money for performance gains..

Wont make a massive difference. But together with an exhaust etc you could push it. I have a 1.4 8v and I know i wont get much out of it, but I enjoy messing with it, if you enjoy messing around and you wanna get it mapped, go for it mate...then you could maybe let us know what difference its made?

I'm sorry but you have the same engine, 1.2 8v + 1.4 8v same engine, different bhp. So yeah quite nippy lower end being an 8v, instead of a 16v.

Only the internals are slightly different and ecu is showing more bhp power. A friend of mine has the 1.4 8v and I have a 1.2 with gsr induction kit, about the same now. I doubt they come out the factory as the figures state.

Try to hold off a camshaft from a 1.2 75HP Mk1 punto + Remap + filter/exhaust (you already have) and you will see a decent difference. Very cheap upgrade with the best gains for this engine.

As for the remap ... I believe they are rubbish for performance for our cars but are supposed to make your fuel consumption better ... Thats the reason I think I'm going to look into one
