Technical 1.4 t-jet engine

Sorry if this has been covered before. I've been looking at the grande punto sporting 1.4 t-jet and whats the difference between the abarth 500/grande punto.

im on about the engine in the 1.4 t-jet, is the t-jet sporting different engine(block,internals,turbo,ecu,ect ) to the abarth models.

The block is shared but the abarth has a larger turbo than the sporting t-jet. I'm not sure about con-rods, pistons, etc.

The block is exactly the same. The Sporting T-Jet uses a different turbo (VL37), compared to the Abarth 500, which uses the VL38 turbo, and the Abarth GP uses the VL36 turbo.

When you get into the esseesse range however, the Abarth 500 & Grande Punto both use a larger Garett turbo, with bigger injectors and different boost sensors.

+ t-jet has shorter duration cams than the abarths. Everything else is the same (except of the ss)
