I have to that my daughters W reg Punto's interior seems quite well screwed together & nothing is broken or cracked, in fact the interior is in better condition overall than our 12 year old Toyota's.

diesels dont warm up as quick because of the amount of metal they have to warm up around the cylinders... diesel ignites at a higher temp to petrol. the very nature of diesels create heat by compressing intake charge, anything upto about 250 times iirc, then injects the fuel into the hot gas.
