Hello All,

I managed to replace the bulb, however having taken off the grey plastic (front) of the heater control dash facia.

The surrounding clips, have snapped becaused I couldn't get to the bottom ones.

There appeared to be a flap, directly underneath the heart face part - but pulling it and even taking off two clips didn't work as in the middle of it appeared to make it stick.

This rendered being able to take the white plastic part of the heater wiring unit out at the bottom - I had already taken the two screws out.

I have put it all back to together because I have a cut finger, it's dark and the blub is changed.

But now due to the lugs/clips of the front facia having snapped it won't clip onto the white box behind it properly and the three buttons won't push in properly.

Can someone help?

Yes, i have search all the various threads regarding this and none of them seem to actually have a picture / diagram or a step-by-step guide.

Just T saying there's lots of sharp bits.

Cheers!

hi jason 6780. to get the 3 switches back on ....i put the 3 to extreme left position before i took the panel off. each one slides on a different shape spindle. i have a post on here were i tried to explain how i got access to the bulbs........... to be honest i have given up as i removed the radio, then removed the radio holder(this is held in by 4 hexagon type heads , but you can use a screwdriver ) you can then access the bulbs WITHOUT cutting yourself.. in other words you can get your hand down that gap and touch the bulb holder . but you still cant get them out......... very frustrating............ there is a small square panel just in front of your cup holders but i dont know how that comes off ............ behind that Is im sure 2 more srews to get that assembly out. i hope this makes a bit of sense....... regards iamjester

Cheers for the replies guys!

Iamjester - I had the EXACT same problem, it's that panel underneath that holds the answers i'm sure.

How on earth you get it off I don't know, the 4 square clips are now broken.

Hence probably needing to get a new one from eBay after Christmas, as there's one on there for £70!

Might just get the dealer to fit a new one and fix the heater vent at the top whilst i'm there.

Andy, that was way too filddly buddy!

Needed to unscrew the clear plastic light tracker aswell to get to the bulb then use pliars to get it out.

HOW DO YOU GET THE SQUARE PLASTIC PART OFF UNDERNEATH THE CONTROLS ABOVE THE DRINKS (ha.. poor excuse for a drinks holder) off?!

Help me, to help you.

I will put the pictures up with a clear guide as it has been causing issues for a lot of people. (y)

You mean you broke the four square clips off the facia that clips onto the white bit behind? If so I snapped all those clips top an botton when I did mine, but it all still work fine and doesn't rattle since putting it back together.

That square panel you talk about. It's only held on with clips. I teased it off with a small flat bladed screw driver. There are two screws behind it that screw into the bottom of the white bit. Think they were torques (star shaped) screw heads?

Ah brilliant thanks Matt!

ADMIN - Would you like me to put a guide up?

Yes please put a guide up, ive got a dead bulb which needs replacing at the weekend!

Exactly like that!Just pull and it will get out of your way. It is held on metal clips so don't worry you wont snap anything.

2 screws there.
