Technical Grande Punto rear demister Not working

It works Yeahhhhhhhhh

I didn't relise it run with two relays one that runs the switch inside the car and the other for the power supply.

Anyway its works but it was just a £7.99 relay in the end and i just paid for a new window.

My wife is going mad but hey hoe it works.

cheers

Where is the offending relay located?

Its the fuse box in the engine bay its the red relay right at the top there should be a 30amp and a 60 amp fuse the big ones next to it. The 30 amp fuse is also the fuse for the rear window.

Buy the top of the fuse box I mean nearist the windscreen.

If you want will take a picture tommorow morning and load it up when i get in from work.

The relay is £7.99 from maplin you must ensure its a diode relay and not just the cheaper standard relay.

There is also another smaller relay in the same fuse box again red and its the one right at the bottom so the last red one. This one powers the switch inside the car so if yor lights on then this relay is fine. This relay on mine also works as the starter relay as this went about 12 months ago and it wouldn't start. You can pick these up on e-bay about £5

Fixed mine. Took the boot trim off (which cracked slightly in the process :bang:, and found that the live wiring plug had come away from the glass. It would appear that the wiring loom is very short and can put the connections under tension, I have unclipped and shuffled the loom along in an attempt to stop it re-occurring.

Could replacing these 2 relays solve the issue of the re demister not working even if it the light on the button is not working?

Thanks,

Matt

The light on the dash it not coming on though at all, neither is re circulation?
