I know the whole heater fan issue has been done to death on this forum, and low-and-behold, mine is on the blink as well.

But what I can't find the answer as to what tools are required to remove the fan motor located in the passenger's footwell.

A Phillips screwdriver doesn't fit the two square-like screws holding the bulk of the unit in place, and there's a third, much smaller screw alongside it as well.

Guessing it needs a torx screwdriver bit and something else - but what?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, tell me about it. Need to be a contortionist to be able to be able to reach the motor!

Discovered that I need a Torx 20/T20 to remove one screw and then had to use a set of pliers to remove the three 5.5mm bolts that were holding the motor in place - couldn't find any suitably sized sockets for them.

That's good to know. I shall have a look in Aldi to make my life easier next time the motor needs extracting!
