Morning all - interesting one that has got me stumped....
Had the usual issue with the blower motor only working on the 4th speed setting, changed the resistor, all worked well. The fan was a bit slow getting going (think its a bit stiff, and I think it only worked on the first setting if you had "got it going" at a faster setting first).
However, its now died again and only works on the 4th speed setting. So logic seems to say that the brand new resistor has now died.
My question is, could the blower motor be causing the resistors to fail, or is there something else which I should be looking at?
Just trying to work out if I should shell out for a new motor (and now resistor too!), or if there could be another issue causing it to seemingly eat the resistors!!?
