Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help. Ive got a 2006 Grande Punto 1.4 16v in orange best colour ha anyway it has got a fault in the injection computer saying phase sensor, fault code p0340, iv changed the sensor and the same fault occured, so i checked the wiring from the feed which had just under 5 V and checked the signal wire whcih was ok and checked the earth which again was fine, so then i think it could of been a faulty sensor so i bought another one and tried that and no nothing changed, so i check if i could read the signal wire with the engine running and for some reason theres nothing showing that its picking up a signal, but the wiring is fine :s has anyone had this before or know where i should go from here. Has it had a cambelt change?

Yes its recently had one done

Cam timing is not 100% right- phase sensor signal is good and present but no longer in-sync with the crank sensor.

I had another Punto with the exact same issue- sensor ok, wiring ok, scope pattern ok... checked valve timing- slightly off, reset timing, all ok.

Who did the work- Fiat Dealer using the correct tools and slackening the cam pulley for correct belt tension?

Make sure you know what your doing. As D4nny8oy says it needs to be done properly.
