Technical Clutch pedal speed

As this is the grande punto section i think you might struggle for help on here. Might get more help in the bravo section :)

Well all clutches are different but I don't think that sounds normal. I wouldn't know how you could notice it because the clutch only rises as quick as your foot?

You can feel pressure, and obviously notice when it bites.

Derv clutches are heavy, and tend to have very low biting points. It should push back a lot harder than your average clutch.

Just had gearbox , clutch and concentric bearing replaced on mine under warranty and can confirm clutch has no springs, the springs are in the flywheel hence dual mass flywheel. If you clutch pedal doesn't rise as quick as your foot it's either the concentric bearing wasn't replaced, or they haven't bled the hydraulic system for the the new bearing.

What does it mean if the bite is quite high on a derv? on It's way out?

It could be that clutch plate friction material is getting low or the clutch cover centre springs are wearing and losing there strength. If anyone's interested fiat let me keepy my clutch plate and cover, there not even half worn, only replaced as gearbox was off anyway and concentric bearing was worn and noisy. Pm if anyone wants it. There like £350 from fiat it's s genuine luk fiat friction plate and cover.
