General Knocking noise and creaking noise when turning the wheel

Hi

When I turn the steering wheel when stationary or at low speeds i get a slight knocking and it sounds like a creaking noise but over 20mph i carn't hear, fell or notice it.

Any Ideas.

Jusy going to jack it up on both side but want some ideas of what to check.

sounds like your top mounts iirc there around £30 on ebay, if not possible driveshaft issues cv joint

Whitch one is it more likley to be when stationary as I start moving it fades the faster i go by the time i get to 10 its not noticable?

Quick update had it up on stilts its the steering rack end bushes

How much did that cost if you dont mind me asking? See my GP is up for MOT next month and i wanted to get it ready by then
