Hi, hope you can help. Stupidly i forgot to remove the radio antenna from the car before going into a car wash, resulting in a snapped aerial and the part attaching it to the car (black stump bit the antenna screws into) being pulled up.

Annoyingly i now get a very poor radio signal, which i think must mean that i have damaged the cabling / connections inside the roof of the car. I have had a google and found nothing and I hope that you may be able to advise me on how to gain access and repair the internal aerial cable.

Thanks in advance

As far as I remember to gain access to the aerial cable you need to:-
1.Pull back the hatchback seal
2.Remove the two rooflining retaining clips. These are nasty christmas tree type plugs and may take a bit of persuading to get out.
3.Pull away one [or both side panels].
You can now pull down the rooflining enough to get your hand in to disconnect the aerial and fitting.Hope this helps.

OH BTW secure the aerial once disconnected otherwise it could disappear into the roof space never to be seen again.
