Information on backboxes please?!

I was considering getting a back box, don't know which one yet, thinking of browsing the stock at a local professional supplier, but I really don't want to run the risk of getting the Ultra deep, monotone, boy racer sound. Or no sound at all.
Anyone able to shed light on this subject? Anything about sizes and tips, shapes and things.
thanks

And would it be worth getting a backbox? A smallish one, maybe a double tip, nothing too over the top.

Seriously, I don't get you - you are a new driver, well not even that to be fair - yet every single post on here is about modding your car - induction, exhausts, ICE

Really, don't bother - you are going to be raped on the insurance in any case, plus you really should concentrate on learning to drive and not be another boy racer :)

Still, it seems you have more money than sense eh.

Basic searches on google will tell you this kind of stuff, no offense intended but you would be better of doing that before posting on here and getting slated.

Oh and yes it normally will make a difference in noise, 4" would be ridiculous on a GP :)

Depends if you are talking about the pipe diameter or the tip diameter
