The rear interior light in my van has stopped working when the tailgate is opened. I suspect this is the same system as a car boot light. The light works fine if switched on manually. The boot electonic release is also working fine. Does anyone know if the electronic boot lock also earths the rear interior light when activated? Have checked the plug on the lock which is clean on all pins. Also, the dashboard display is working showing open door and tailgate open. Any suggestions. Thanks

does the boot/ door open warning light come on the dash when you open the boot with the ignition on?

Yes , Warning lights all working as usual. The roof light always worked in the past but sometime ago it started to come on when driving. I gave the lock a clean with Wd 40 which cured that problem. Thanks
