I currently have an 09 plate 1.9 mjet sporting and am in need of need front disks and pads. I am looking to have my car remapped at christmas so I was unsure as to wether the OEM disks would be ok with the extra power or to upgrade while im changing them anyway. I've had a look around at the usual places but would greatly appreciated being pointed in the right direction. Any advice welcome

Also i dont think my ABS is working is there a way to check this apart from trying an emergency stop recreation?

Should be fine. After all, you'll be braking from 70mph, so the performance increase won't make a difference.

Haha you make a valid point, could anyone recommend the cheapest places to get brake disks / pads or link to some they use then please?

Also any information on the ABS issue?

Be careful about fake brembo brakes on eBay. Big influx from China apparently

Cheers for the heads up, i think im going to go with the EBC disks anyway as they can be trusted and people have used them on here. It your stopping power at the end of the day so not something i want to get crappy versions of.

I bought EBC Turbo groove discs and EBC green stuff pads from them, still not fitted them yet though.

I fitted ebc disks and greenstuff pads to my mjet. Disks good pads crap they constantly squeeze unless you are really working your brakes and putting heat into them. Wish I had just fitted standard ebc pads.

I have standard ebc brake pads on my GP MJET both front and rear. Fantastic pads! got them from www.brakes4u.co.uk for about £40.

Cheers for the selection of responses everyone it has given me a good choice of websites to choose from as well as part. However i am going to go with the ebc standard brake pads front and rear and ebc standard brake disks as these should all be sufficient at stopping/slowing me down for 70 haha
