Hiya,

I've read other posts about this pipe and looked at photos but i'm still not sure it's the right one, hopefully someone can help me :)

To access the pipe that has the split you need to undo the bolts and lift up the big black box.

The pipe is right at the back and prevents the box from being removed (as well as the rubber grommet holding the box on).

I haven't smelt any fuel or oil in the car so has got me wondering if it is the breather pipe, or something else?

I will photo if necessary but that means i have to undo and pull the box up again (grrrr lol). :D

Not a problem Alison

you will need a pair of hose clips which can be had from most car places and tool shops trade name is Jublie clips for some that will close to 20mm

the standard pipe measures

15mm internal diameter

20mm external diameter

a cheaper alternative if you have a local hose supplier or motorfactors would be to get 30cm of oil resistant hose in or close to the above eg 16mm would do and make your own

Some good step by step instructions on this forum inc. pics - I managed to follow them and change mine no probs! Enjoy!
