Hi All I also seem to have this problem where there is perforation around the Brake Servo unit, doesnt Fiat offer a 6 year body warranty against Corrosion? Also would the Authorized Fiat dealers have the Manufacturer's update on how to deal with this on the Sticky?

I you can catch it early then you can sort it, luckily mine had just started to rot so a handfull of grease around the plate and once i had siliconed the leaking joint job done.

I cant Believe these guys have made such a design blunder! Fiat always had rust issues, I had a 1996 model Uno a few years back even that had rust issues even though I bought it Brand new off the showroom:mad: Do we need to replace the water seal with a new one in the event the corrosion is not too bad?

Unfortunately you can't irradicate rust by just smearing sealer over it no matter how good the sealer is. The only sure way of solving the problem is by replacement of the plate. I have worked as a car painter for 23 years and have'nt heard of any sealer on the market with the miraculous proporties of rust curing. But I can understand why some members want to seal up the problem because it seems like a real ball ache of a job, but I did with a bit of help and it's not to hard a job, honest (y)
