Just thought I'd throw up a small point.

I sold my GP in 2009 on an '06 plate with 30k on the clock, FSH, New springs and a few other extras. It was a nice car and the buyer was over the moon with it. I sold it for £5k after a bit of negotiation.

Before ordering my Abarth Punto Evo I thought I'd look at getting another MJET Sporting like my old one. I looked and to basically buy my car back I'd have to pay nearer to £6k. Whoever has my car got a good investment.

take it you've got your abarth now then? got any pics?

There was a large dip in used car prices in early 2009 as the financial crisis took hold and scrappage make new cars cheaper. I bought my previous car then, 12 months later it had another 30k on the clock and was worth more than I paid. Another 12 months later and the value had fallen through the floor.

as a new/ used car dealer i've got access to CAP and Glasses. My active 1.2 8v has increased by £150 (trade) in the three months i've owned mine and the diesel have increased about 300-400 (trade) in the same period.

I'm lost about 2k in the almost 2 year I've had it. No complaints here
