Hi Folks, just thought I'd let you know that I had the 1.9 M-Jets intermittent starting issue that has been reported on here a few times.
I just got my '07 GP a couple of months ago and It occasionally would have trouble starting, maybe every 5th or 6th time. It made no difference if the engine was warm or not. It would turn over for maybe 2-4 seconds before starting.

Well I hooked up the generic battery to a charger/conditioner but that made no difference so I went out and bought a good quality battery in the hope of a simple fix. I bought VARTAS top of the range Silverline battery:

I've done maybe 30-40 starts since, including some very cold starts, and fingers crossed, its been fine every time. £80 well spent I think. (y)

Ha, yep. I guess it was the original battery with it being under 4 years old. Pleased its sorted anyway, just the alloys to refurb now, will do that later in the summer. Anyone had theirs done? What was the cost?

Had mine done in Anthracite, £45 per wheel for full strip, refurb, paint, tyres back on and balanced. Cant fall off at that price.:slayer:

Had mine done for £65 a wheel to they where power coated tho not painted, very happy with the results pitty i curbed one.
