Hi All,
On my Grande Punto Multijet Sporting 130 i have just tried to input the Autodiagnostic reader into it, because the ignitions system light has come on, and there is no signal coming through the CAN.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram?
Also General help is needed, because this isn't good!
Thanks!

Is the EML the only fault? A CAN failure would cause serious system problems throughout. If the rev counter is working, along with the temp guage and the speedo, then the EFI ECU is communicating on CAN.

Okay mate thanks a lot, I guess that does make sense. Everything else is working on the car, and the thing is, there isnt any faults in the car, the ignition systems light says it should reduce the power but trust me it hasn't!
I will look further into this, i am trying to find a wiring diagram so that i can check the fuses.

Depends on the fault, many minor errors will cause little or no noticeable affect on engine running.

If there's no apparent CAN issue, but your diagnostic machine thinks there is or can't communicate, then the fault lies in your machine. Not all are compatible with the GP's high speed CAN (even Fiat had to release an adaptor cable for Examiner which slowed the data rate down so it could be read). ;)
