Hi,
My dad complained to me today that his drivers side window is playing up. He said that it will go down but may not go up again. I noticed in the "RECALLS & KNOWN FAULT/ISSUES" thread that is was an uncommon fault and that it is likely to be a connection fault in the drivers door switchbank. I apologise for asking a question that may seem completely obvious to you but Fiat Punto's aren't my area (VW Polo & Classic Mini are my thing). Where is and how do I access the drivers door switchbank?

Thanks,
~ MattLoaf.

its the switch pack in the drivers door card just out it out with a small flat blade screwdriver, if the GP is pre 58 its a white connector that id for the windows. if that doesn't fix it then it would be a fault with the door loom they have a habit of braking just before the connector to the a pillar

Thanks for the help. Do you know if the switch packs have ever changed over the years the Grande Punto has been in production and is there any way to test if the fault is with the switch pack or with the loom? I don't really want to buy a new set of switches just to find that the loom is the problem.

they changed the design of the door loom on the 58 plate cars, where are you situated? I'm only asking because i would test it all for you as its difficult to explain with out showing you.

South West Scotland.

I had this problem. Tried unplugging the connectors on both doors and didn't make a difference. Ended up getting Fiat to replace the window regulator under 3rd year warranty and hasn't done it again since.
