Hi,

I have had a looked through previous topics and couldn't find anything so wondered if anyone can help. When I run my fan I get a noise from the what I imagine is the fan either like a bearing or maybe some debris catching or rubbing inside. I had a look round earlier and I'm guessing that the unit is behind the glove box. I wanted to know whether anyone has had this or if there is anyway of getting to the fan or any advice on the problem whatsoever really!

Any help will be much appreciated
Rob

Yeah it is behind glove box and accessed from foot well. Just 3 torx bolts holding it in - usually debris there.

I know you said you searched but there are loads of posts on this.

As Shaun said, accessed under footwell. Really easy to do, I did it myself with a limited car maintenance background and took me all of 15 minutes - found lots of dried leaves which were the cause of the noise.

As well as the 3 torx bolts you will also need to to remove the plastic air duct pipe (held in by 1 torx 20 screw).

one word of warning once you go to screw the blower back in dont let go of it when you've screwed one screw in.

I had fun when one of the clips broke and the blower fell on my head :bang:

i did mine the other week it was starting to sieze up give the top bush a spray with some lube when its out

Is there any guides up somewhere of this? My mechanical knowledge is dire and I dont want to take off the wrong thing lol. Im assuming its the white cylinder box?
