I wondered if anyone has any advice, as I'm in a bit of a muddle.

Basically, I've purchased my Grande Punto (07 plate) last week privately, and was told that the door wouldn't open from outside because of some problem.

I went ahead with the sale, and planned to get it fixed.

Just now, I thought I'd go and see what the problem was. After reading the manual, I thought the rear door emergency lock would be active, so I opened the door from inside and put the ignition key in the slot on the door and turned so now, the child lock is active and so is the rear door emergency lock, so you cannot open the door with any handle! I cannot open it.

Does anyone know how I can fix this? Any help would be much appreciated.

needs modified outer door handle, to open just gently tap the door just under the handle.
