I bought this new and original oil filter from FIAT. Noticed the glueish like (white colored) substance on the inside. Seems like they overdid it with the glue this time...

Could this be a problem if fitted to the car? For example when the filter gets hot while the car is running could this glue melt and mix with the oil in the engine.....?

I'd just trim it off to be on the safe side
