My car is currently at a garage who specialises in fiats, Its getting a new steering rack. I was speaking to him about remaps and he said his mate sells a plug in box which works well and is not the usual rubbish, He said they take the chassis number and a few other things and set it for the car. He said he can get it and fit it for £350, Im not too sure on figures yet hes going to get all the info then let me know (Tomorrow probably). Thing is though this seems quite epensive and its not really a remap is it. Anyone used these, Ive seen the ones on ebay for £100ish but he reckons its better.

That is very expensive for a tuning box bearing in mind TMC boxes are about £100 and they appear to offer good results and people are happy with them. I was quoted £300 for a custom map so £350 for tuning box is a p1ss take, a custom map will always get better results than a generic box.

Of course it will be amazing if he is selling it to you for 350. As mentioned thats alot of money, RedDot maps are 200 and get you up to about 180bhp, also the TMC box are well rated, and get you to about 160bhp for 100 quid.

Id save my money and go to RedDot or TMC.

Ive got a 1.9 sporting. All the above is what i was expecting tbh, I knew it was alot just wondering if there was another type of tuning box which worked better.
I want to go to red dot but its about 280 miles each way from me!
