i've got my eibachs and want to fit them desperately but i'm not getting mugged off by a grease monkey! haha (n)

Can anyone tell me how much they paid to get lowering springs fitted?

also, if anyone can suggest any decent garages in Reading and the surrounding areas that would be a great help. As i'm new to the area.

haha its alright for some!

ive been quoted a silly price so it pissed me off tbh.

coilovers would have been easier but i haven't got 800 quid

 now that's really cheap!

Been thinking about coil overs to replace the sport lines :chin:

@dangp - you're looking at about £100 - £150 for a garage to fit them for you. I wouldn't contemplate doing them unless you know what you're doing, though that said there is a good guide in the guide section (if i remember rightly) on changing them.

I got a mate to them for me so dropped him £50 which is better than any garage wanted.

Fiat's Fitting time for these would be 1hr per corner so that's four hours.

Plus you'll have to get the tracking done to make sure the wheels are pointing in the right direction.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll ring around a few garages and try to get a decent price.

are coilovers easy to fit then?
ive got a set of coilies ready to be fitted when i get time, gotta friend whos fitted them on several other cars so he should be able to help but ive not got a clue!

ps i paid 100cash to have springs fitted!

Supposedly they are, it's just a straight replacement with the factory parts. There's no fiddling around and compressing springs. I've got a few mates who have fitted coilovers themselves, not on a gp tho but I'm guessing it's the same principle.
