Hi,

In my quest to find a Nice Grande Punto, I've come across one for sale in the Glasgow branch which is at a great price. I'm going to see if I can get them to transport the car to their Birmingham branch.

Anyway, I've been reading about Arnold Clark and all I can find is really bad reviews regarding aftersales and customer services ie: lying to customers, overcharging customers, taking ages to fix problems in cars etc...

I've had a look in the 'Fiat dealers not to deal with' thread in this forum and surprisingly Arnold Clark hardly came up.

The big question, Should I buy the car from them? It is still under the original manufacturers warranty so surely if there are any problems with the car then I can take it to my local Fiat dealer and I wont ever need to deal with Arnold Clark again? Are the standards of the cars they sell ok, have they been serviced properly before sale etc? Am I correct in saying that the only time I would need to deal with Arnold Clark again is if I buy the car and after a week notice a problem with it or can I still take it to any fiat dealer and get the problem fixed under the warranty.

Thanks very much for any guidance and advice.

Dom

I used to use AC in Elgin for all my MOT's, never had an issue with them, my ex also bought her Panda Multijet from there and it's been faultless. Like anything though, experience can vary from branch to branch - go into your local Subway and they could be nice as pie, but go to one in Norwich (for example, not saying they are) and the service could be utter crap.
Still being in warranty is an advantage as it does mean you can take it anywhere if it develops a fault.

Is there anything that I'd need to go back to the original AC dealer for? E.G. Failing brakes after 500 miles?

Does the Fiat warranty include free use of a courtesy car if the car is being fixed?

Allways worth a look at fiat supa saver before you part with your hard earned cash.

I have never used them but they seem to offer new at used prices.

Thanks but they don't have the T-Jet.

Dom.
