stupid question, but can anyone clarify does the volume buttons, radio station changer button and the mute button on the steering wheel meant to illuminate at night?

Ithink you mean illuminate, my 56 plate Sporting does.

mine used to illuminate ( 08' ) but for the last year they don't. Fiat told me that they shoyldn't illuminate in the first place but i'm sure they did!!!

Yep my '07 does and i know it sounds daft but they are on when its night and the lights aren't on lol Try the + button next to the menu button

Yeah I tried this but no success either :bang:

This has come up before at some point someone at fiat decided to save a few euros and fit none illuminating switches. So the none too helpful answer is some do AAnd some don't

By the way, mine light up GPS 1.9 '06'

apparently there were two series of 09 M-Jet 1.4L Punto's in the Oz market. Series one came with the dots on the front seats, now the series 1 did have the illuminated steering wheel, however the series 2 model which I have, front seats have stripes rather than dots, the wheel is NOT meant to illuminate. Perhaps a cost cutting thing. Also another gripe I'm having the the difference between series 1 and 2 is the series 2 stereo is NOT MP3 compatible this car is becoming worse and worse the more I find out about it.
