hey all,
as the title says, would it be possible to fit a skydome if i got it from a doner car???

jus a thought as i was thinkin about sellin my t-jet to buy one with the skydome, but ive done too much to my car to let it got just for that.

I recently replaced just the rails of my car's skydome, priced at £247 each! When I spoke with the dealer he advised that the cost of replacing the lot (including the sunroof motor) was approx £1,500. If you price up cutting the roof of your car, the price of the panes, switches, roof lining etc etc, you are looking at £2k minimum. You'll never recoup your money, so sell on, buy one equipped with skydome and upgrade whichever mechanical and body parts you wish. But fitting a skydome on your car? Don't bother. On the other hand, if you wish to have a standard sunroof, then I am sure you will find plenty of companies out there for a very reasonable amount of money to carry out the job. Decisions, decisions...
