I have a GP, nearly one year old in the metallic blue colour.

Build quality generally OK, no more than that, but the paint seems so soft? I take a lot of care, never use car washes, always use soft cloths etc, but the car is already sporting a number of scratches.

Worst of all is the fact that next door both ways have cats, and they seem to like curling up on the car. As a result, I have small scratches all the way up the front pillars, and the edges of the roof. I would have hoped the paintwork would stand this, after all, the cats do not have diamond tipped claws.

Any one else find this, and any solutions, either to keep the cats off, fix the scratces (showing white), or getting Fiat to harden up the paint!

Thanks

Ive had my car since new and i'm also surprised by how easily its has scratched even though i take great care!

I have booked my car into fiat for monday because it seems that on the bottom right hand side of my boot the paint has started to fade away and go grey/misty. I will have a word and see what they say about scratching etc.

mine is stone chip city at the front, I can only echo whats been said though, the paint is woefuly soft

Must be honest I'm fairly happy so far with the durability of my white paintwork. Stands up well to stone chips, especially compared to a black Citroen I had....that used to shatter with the smallest stone.

I do agree though it does seem a tad soft and scratch quite easy.

As regards cats, I've had no bother at all since I bought a Staffie....funny that. :)
